THANKS TO GOD!

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Truly, God has been supplying all the needs of After the Storm Care. Our needs have been met in a variety of--and in surprising, unexpected--ways! We give Him thanks for all He has done to guide and provide for this ministry! After the Storm Care is now a year and a half old and we have so much to be thankful for!

THANKS TO OUR DONORS AND VOLUNTEERS!

We give thanks to all the individuals and organizations who have stepped up, giving of their time, their energy, and their resources!

We have had 40-50 volunteers along the way who have shared the tasks of preparing the "emergency care kits", fundraising, and going out to help those affected by natural disasters. We appreciate each one of them so much! What a daunting task it would be without them!

We extend our thanks to a group who wishes to remain anonymous, yet last Spring they donated $2500.00. With those funds, we were able to purchase enough supplies to help restock our "emergency care kits" which were then distributed last August to the survivors of the Spokane Complex Fires.

Our heartfelt thanks also goes out to the Tyton Foundation for making a donation of $1,000 after we met a representative in Phoenix last July. This money has gone to help provide supplies for the immediate needs of families after losing their homes due to wildfires.

Our most recent large donation comes from the Modern Woodmen of America who donated 240 backpacks to fill for teens, children, and babies. We are truly grateful!

These large donations are amazing, yet all of the donations we have received since the inception of After the Storm Care are highly valued by us no matter how large or how small! They all add up and they have helped us to minister to many people who have tragically been affected by natural disasters. We are extremely grateful for all who have donated financially!

Recently, Glenn replaced a deck for friends; in all actuality he conducted a fundraiser! Our thanks goes to Don and Peggy for giving him the opportunity to help them and to be able to raise funds to help assist more families in need.

SHARING THEIR THANKS!

Now that we have shared our thanks, we are going to share a few messages with you that we have received from people whose lives have been touched by After the Storm Care!

Let these messages of response inspire you to consider making a donation to After the Storm Care today. You, too, can help bring hope and encouragement to storm survivors! Thank you!

"It was so nice to meet you guys...! My little girls absolutely loved their new clothes and backpacks. Thank you so much for everything. It means the world for our family! And for praying for us that day. It gave us hope for better days ahead. Thank you!!" ~Ana, flooding

"...I just want to thank you for your support. I received your donation today and I wanted to thank you and let you know how grateful I am. I know this is gonna' help me get through the next couple of weeks. [I'll be able to] get some things that I need. I'm truly grateful and I know God is providing for me, so thank you again!" ~Mary, wildfire

"I just wanted to send this email expressing my heartfelt thank you. The emergency backpacks which were given to my grandchildren and I when you came to Sumas, WA recently have had some additional items put into them and are in a tote that stays in my car. The prayer shared with my adult disabled granddaughter and I meant so much. My granddaughter has mentioned it several times.

Again, thank you so much for all you do for people devastated by disasters.

Many blessings to you all." ~Yvonne, flooding

"I can't thank you enough for your generosity and empathy for myself and my daughter, as well as so many others in the community who lost their homes during the Spokane Complex Wildfires. . .

I am just now beginning to find the motivation to pick up the pieces and move forward. I feel as though I was stuck in a dark silent space between disbelief and sadness. . .

I've leaned [on] God more at times like that rather than giving myself fully to him on a daily basis. I need to strengthen my faith and I thank you for opening my eyes to that. . ." ~Erica, wildfire
